Gone Like Yesterday

I take that back, Saturday you are the best.

Even though I didn't get much sleep last night, I woke up and my first thought was: FOOD. Shocker! So I zombied myself to the fridge, and maybe it was the sleep stupor or maybe it was subliminal messsages, but some healty inspiration hit me. So instead of making my usual Saturday Pancakes, I went for a protein packed spicy-yumyum omelet.

Jalapenos. Cheese. Sour cream. Salsa verde. Heavenly.

It really hit the spot while I watched Saturday morning cartoons.

While cleaning up my mess, I had another burst of healthy inspiration. I am going to challenge myself to eat ALL the produce in my fridge. I hate admitting this, but I am wicked bad about purchasing fruits and veggies, ignoring them, letting them rot and ultimately tossing them. These are my confessions, please don't hate me. Maybe just buying them makes me feel healthier? Whatever the reason, it needs to stop. This week, I am making an honest effort to eat more fruit and vegetables. So strawberries were added to breakfast, and then I had a giant salad that finished off some romaine lettuce, a tomato, onion and banana peppers.

My strength is slowly coming back, so I convinced Logan that I could go to the dog park so at least Goliath could get some exercise. The weather in KC has been nothing short of an oven recently, but today it is gorgeous and bearably warm.

Do you have any iPad App recommendations?
What is your favorite fruit? Veggie?
Do you ever throw away food?

I don't have any iPad app suggestions. My mom only plays silly games on hers. Haha.

I cannot pick one favorite fruit or veggie. I love too many. Right now though, I'm addicted to Granny Smith apples and tomatoes. Oh, and watermelon!

Unfortunately yes. Food gets thrown away every once in awhile. :(
